BACK

I'm back in the land of too-hot-for-me. Grandma is doing very well. I initally thought that the surgery would be the hard part to get through, but now I realize that it's the recovery that's really the tough part. They told us she'd be in ICU for 24-48 hours after the surgery, and she's been there for 5 days. They keep saying that she's doing great, though, so I'm not too worried. She's starting to complain about random little things that don't really matter, so she must be getting better!

The hardest part about coming back was leaving my mom. She's kind of a wreck. I'm really more worried about her than anyone else. She needs lots of hugs; more than she's getting.

Otherwise, it's nice to be back with my husband. That's about it; I'd leave the rest behind in a heartbeat and move back North for good if I could.

Forty-two days until I'm back there.

Then, in February, I get to do this all over again with my Dad. Isn't life fun?

Glad you are back and that things are going well for your grandma. I'll be thinking about your family.

Dude, you have a blog? We have a very boring one called "Life In Lubbock." We post like... once a month and its always tremedously uninteresting. Mainly so Moms can see pictures of things.

Just thought you'd want to know, Steve is going through the "WHY IS IT THIS HOT IN NOVEMBER" phase of near suicidal depression. I guess since its my 4th autumn, I more in the "bitter resignation transitioning to pure heartache" stage.

Seriously. 80 degrees. My socks are lonely.
